The firm is proud that IBANS (Insurance Brokers Association of Nova Scotia) founded the W. Ritchie MacCoy Award in 1979 to honor his contribution in the field of general insurance.
 

MacCoy Insurance is currently owned and operated by H. Ritchie MacCoy, third generation.
 

H. Ritchie MacCoy, President, manages the commercial and personal underwriting aspects of the firm. Ritchie has numerous insurance courses and has attended several national and international advanced commercial insurance seminars.
 

The firm continues to be involved with the Insurance Brokers Association of Nova Scotia, The Canadian Federation of Independent Business, as well as the Prolink Insurance Group Incorporated.
